The idea of developing agriculture in the Galapagos archipelago, has set it’s goal set on minimizing the amount of food that is brought from the continent.

WHY ?

To prevent alien species from entering the islands, their main way to travel from the continent to the islands is byusing cargo ships as a means of transportation.

Help Needed

Agriculture in Galapagos is a hard task. Farmers on their own haven’t been able to develop a sustainable agriculture project that can guarantee to feed the people that live in Galapagos, and the tourists who visit the islands.

That’s the reason why the FUNDAR GALAPAGOS NGO is searching for financial and technical aid. This assistance will help us develop a future example of sustainable agriculture for a protected area.
